Pathway Prep Program (PPP) - Year 10

The Pathway Prep Program (PPP) for Year 10 students is a comprehensive career development plan that focuses on fostering curiosity, creative thinking, critical thinking, communication, action, and agility. The program includes activities and lessons designed to explore career ideas, develop workplace skills, and prepare for senior studies and post-school options. The PPP champions the importance of planning, resilience, and adaptability in achieving success in academic and practical pathways.

The Year 10 PPPs are underpinned by the Career Development and learning in the Middle Phase, during Years 7 & 8 EdEn (Educational Enhancement) and Year 9 Become Career Development.  Middle Phase students explore the world of work and career ideas that interest them, imagining possible futures for themselves. They learn how to think flexibly and broadly by using brainstorming techniques and comparing their life ideas with career options. Students develop workplace-ready skills and effective communication skills so they can explain their personal career exploration using a compelling question and relevant experiments. They plan and execute a career experiment, reflecting on their resilience and perseverance.
