New School Bus Service Connecting Our Community

A New Way to Travel to Mt Maria College Petrie

Mt Maria College Petrie is pleased to introduce our new College Bus Service, providing families with a safe, reliable and convenient transport option for students travelling to and from school.The introduction of the service reflects the College's ongoing commitment to supporting families and improving accessibility to education across our growing community. Designed with student safety and comfort in mind, the service offers families greater flexibility while helping to reduce traffic congestion around the College during peak drop-off and pick-up times.

A Significant Milestone

The launch of the College Bus Service represents another important step in the growth of Mt Maria College Petrie. As our community continues to expand, we remain focused on providing practical services that enhance the experience of students and families while strengthening connections across our region. We look forward to welcoming students onboard and seeing the positive impact this service will have for our College community.

The bus is an inbound and outbound service and will travel through selected areas around Petrie, Eatons Hill and other surrounding suburbs. Please see the suburb list below:

Safety First

The College bus is equipped with modern safety technologies, including:

  • GPS tracking
  • CCTV monitoring
  • Driver safety monitoring systems
  • Child check and sign-on procedures
  • Regular maintenance and safety inspections

All drivers hold the required licences and clearances and are committed to providing a safe and welcoming experience for students each day.

Supporting Families

For many families, school transport can be one of the most challenging parts of the school day. The new bus service offers:

  • Convenient transport to and from school
  • Reduced travel stress for parents and carers

Student Behaviour Expectations

Please read the Code of Conduct for Students Traveling on Buses (PDF 658KB) issued by the Queensland Government. A Parent Handbook will be provided to parents once consent is provided for a student to travel.
