Vision for Reconciliation
Our vision for reconciliation at Mt Maria College Petrie is to ensure that all members of our College community support and foster an environment that acknowledges, affirms and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and traditions. Our Marist charism as a College flavours all that we do and offers a rich way to meaningfully connect the young people in our care to deeper understandings about the world around us starting with the First Nations people of Australia.
Acknowledgement of Country
Mt Maria College Petrie acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Land that we are situated on, the Turrbal people. We pay our respect to their Elders, past, present and future. May we tread lightly and carefully on their Land, as we honour their connection to Land, water and culture.
