swimming.jpgThe sporting life at Mt Maria College Petrie allows students to represent the College in Interschool Sport on Thursday afternoons, through to District representation, Metropolitan North representation to State Selection.                         
Sport and Recreation
After lunch on Thursday afternoons all students participate in the Sport and Recreation program. Students have the opportunity to choose between Interschool Sport or Recreational activities.

Mt Maria College Petrie is a part of the Pine Rivers District and play sport against the local High Schools. In Terms 1 and 2 Summer sports such as touch football, basketball, futsal and cricket are played. In Term 3 soccer, volleyball, oz tag and netball are played in the Winter sports competition.
Recreation Activities
Students who choose not to play Interschool Sport can choose recreational activities. Some activities are school based whilst others, such as PCYC, tenpin bowling, gym and indoor sports use community venues.
Inter-house Sport
Inter-house competitions are held throughout the year for Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics. In addition various inter-house competitions are played throughout the year.​
